Project Spotlight: New Exterior Signage for VCC

Colorific was happy to once again work with Vancouver Community College to produce and install new signage at their Broadway and Downtown campuses. VCC is celebrating their 50 year anniversary and we love the clean design of the new 50 years logo! Colorific printed full colour vinyl graphics and applied them to custom cut aluminum panels. The panels were precisely cut to fit perfectly on the existing structure – giving the old signage a new and modern look. We also handled the installation of the new panels onsite, securing everything into place. Congratulations to everyone at VCC on 50 years of exceptional education! We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Eco-Friendly Illuminated Art Panels

Colorific has worked with Janus design group to create beautiful ceiling light art.

With Eco-friendly printing and Led lighting it creates a perfect lighting combination to change the look and feel of any space.

Project Spotlight: Fine Art Acrylic at VGH

Colorific worked with Janus A&D Group to create a one of a kind fine art piece. The project consisted of printing direct to 1/2″ custom die-cut acrylic. We used our CnC router to cut custom shapes and add beveled edges. The result is a new level of fine art, on display at Vancouver General Hospital.

Project Spotlight: The Vancouver Aquarium ‘Clownfish Cove’ and ‘Rescue Stories’ Exhibits

Colorific had another opportunity to work with our friends at the Vancouver Aquarium for their new Clownfish Cove and Rescue Stories exhibits. Featuring images, stories and interactive displays, the Rescue Stories exhibit showcases the amazing work done by the Aquarium and the Marine Mammal Rescue staff to rehabilitate marine life in British Columbia. Colorific produced a wide variety of display graphics for the exhibit including wall murals, banner, custom die-cut signs, window graphics and floor graphics. We also provided graphics for the Clownfish Cove gallery, where children can experience what it’s like to rescue and nurse marine creatures back to health.

Whenever possible we used environmentally friendly materials, that were not only durable, but maintained the bold, bright colours that the kid-friendly exhibit needed. Below are some images from the Clownfish Cove exhibit:

Project Spotlight: The Yew Resturant at the Four Seasons Hotel

Colorific printed and installed a massive translucent window graphic project at the Yew restaurant, at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver. We completed printing and installing the vinyl on 26 – 25′ high windows over five nights, for their grand opening.

Vancity Signage at the PNE

The Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver is a staple of summer in British Columbia. This year, Colorific was happy to work with Vancity to produce signage for their special member’s day at the PNE. We produced large format double sided banners and outdoor flags for their event. The largest banner, which was 39′ in length, was double sided and printed in one piece. Seeing the large banner at the entrance gates really made an impact and helped make their event a success. Project Spotlight: ‘Wounded Soles’ Charity Art Exhibition

Last year Colorific had the opportunity to help sponsor the art exhibit “Wounded Soles” – a charity art event organized through the Rotaract Club of New Westminster to raise shoes for children in India. The event was a huge success, providing 1,600 children with custom shoes.

Dear Steve,

I want to personally thank you for supporting the “Wounded Soles” event, as well as the work of the Rotaract Club of New Westminster with your generous contribution.

The feedback from June 11th, 2010 has been enormously positive. The venue, entertainment and the quality of the artwork have been praised and it is clear from the enthusiastic reception given to our speaker, Dr. Ashok Kotwal, that our attendees were delighted to have the opportunity to converse with him in such a unique setting. Your sponsorship helped to make the evening a great success and offered attendees a glimpse into a (not so fictional) world without shoes.

You will be pleased to know that over US $3,400 were raised for the project. These funds were enough to provide 1,600 school children (double the initial goal of 860 pairs of shoes) in Mulky, India with custom-made shoes. We have just received word from the Rotary Club of Mulky, India, that the shoes were finally distributed to the schools in need. Each school then hosted a function inviting local media and political leaders, as well as education officers, to learn more about this initiative and the difficulties these students face. Thanks to your contribution, they now have the opportunity to experience real childhoods, devoid of the physical and psychological disadvantages of walking barefoot.
